Land Portal Strategy
Publication
In 2019, I was contracted by the Land Portal to design (and edit) the organisation’s updated strategy document. The production of a clear, concise and visually engaging strategy document had been prioritised by the foundation’s Board of Trustees and major donors, however, the initial draft by the management team was considered insufficiently powerful and impactful. My work involved an initial editing process, requiring a significant rewrite of the text, punctuated by regular reviews and discussions with the management team to ensure accuracy of concepts presented and consistency of language etc.
The process of creating a visually engaging design began once the text had been fully finalised. Working with the foundation’s visual guidelines and taking account of other publications and communications materials, I produced a set of graphic concepts for review by management before creating a final layout. The strategy document took two weeks to produce (including sub-editing and graphic design), required significant background research, and involved detailed interactions with management staff throughout.
The finished document has been enthusiastically received by management, trustees and supporters and the foundation has since contracted my services to deliver a series of further productions in the coming months. Examples pages of the strategy document can be viewed above.
