Over two decades of communications work in the international development sector has provided numerous opportunities for filmmaking in a variety of contexts. Included below are some recent examples of video projects for which my credits range from editor, camera operator, director, producer and script writer.

Grand Corruption (short)

EDITOR / PRODUCER

A short video explaining the phenomenon of grand corruption (the abuse of high-level power that benefits the few at the expense of the many, and causes serious and widespread harm to individuals and society), developed for screening at the UN General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) against corruption.


Impacting Land Corruption

CAMERA OPERATOR / EDITOR

This short video explores the various forms of land corruption across Sub-Saharan Africa and the actions of Transparency International’s national chapters to overcome its negative effects on communities throughout the continent. It was created during a regional workshop in Uganda in 2019 as part of a programme consolidation and evaluation exercise.

African Youth Tackle Land Corruption

Blockchain land registries, community land committees and refuges for landless women are among the latest approaches to tackling land corruption proposed by young social entrepreneurs from Africa. This short video was created for Transparency International in 2018 to showcase proposals put forward by eight young social entrepreneurs from across Africa during a week-long workshop in Lagos.

A short animation created for Transparency International’s Land and Corruption in Africa programme in 2018. The animation was used to explain the various corrupt practices within land administration and management, which are known simply as “land corruption” and the importance of tacking the issue that affects one in five people globally and one in two throughout Africa.
